The Porsche experience has arrived in Richmond with the opening of Porsche Now Richmond, an exclusive Porsche pop-up showroom and boutique at Aberdeen Centre.
With the announcement of a brand-new flagship Porsche Centre coming to the Richmond Auto Mall in 2020, there was a desire to offer a unique temporary storefront to showcase some of the exciting features visitors will soon see when the new building is completed. Now open on Cambie and Number 3 Road near Aberdeen Centre, Porsche Now Richmond offers an immersive Porsche experience for both appreciators of the brand and prospective buyers alike.
The elegant and modern showroom highlights the best of Porsche, with three vehicle displays, a Porsche Design boutique space, and art inspired by the incredible brand. Porsche Now Richmond is one of the first to unveil the new Porsche Now pop-up identity, with an elegant and minimalist design, understated lighting, and modern lounge spaces for visitors to admire the vehicles or design one of their own.
Providing the space with a gallery feel is an original mural commissioned by internationally-recognized, Chinese-Canadian artist Carson Ting of Chairman Ting Industries. One of his most ambitious hand-painted murals to date, the piece focuses on the classic 911 Carrera 4S Turbo, weaving together intricate lines and roads to form something high in movement and energy.
In a dedicated space on the west side of the showroom, the first Porsche Design boutique in Canada offers Porsche’s signature lifestyle products including fashion, timepieces, luggage, and accessories. A frosted glass door at the rear of the showroom transports visitors into the Porsche Now endless mirror room. Featuring floor-to-ceiling reflective walls and added design details, the room offers a unique infinity effect as well as a fun photo opportunity for guests before they continue through the room into the parking structure entrance.
When completed, the Porsche Centre Richmond building in the Richmond Auto Mall will be one of Canada’s largest Porsche dealerships. The dealership will feature Porsche’s infamous curved building design, in addition to the latest in customer amenities and the most advanced sales and service technology. The building design will also accommodate a full range of new electric vehicles that Porsche plans to roll out over the next several years, beginning with the Taycan.
